GCR Dealer Tools Privacy Policy

Ace the 19th Hole, LLC, doing business as Golf Cart Resource and Golf Cart Resource Dealer Services (“Golf Cart Resource,” “GCR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides the GCR Dealer Tools Chrome extension for authorized dealership users.
This policy explains how GCR Dealer Tools handles information when a dealer uses the extension to prepare a Facebook Marketplace vehicle-listing draft.
1. Information handled by the extension
GCR Dealer Tools may handle the information required to prepare the dealer-selected vehicle listing, including:
vehicle year, make, model, condition, mileage, colors, price, and similar inventory details;
the vehicle listing description;
dealership or inventory-location information;
vehicle photo URLs and the corresponding image files; and
temporary technical state needed to pass the selected listing from the GCR Dealer Plugin to the Facebook Marketplace page.
GCR Dealer Tools does not collect Facebook passwords, Facebook authentication cookies, private Facebook messages, general browsing history, payment-card information, or advertising identifiers. The extension does not contain analytics or advertising tracking.
2. How information is received
The Marketplace workflow begins only when a dealer takes an affirmative action in the GCR Dealer Plugin, such as clicking “Post to FB Marketplace” for a specific vehicle.
The selected vehicle information is passed to GCR Dealer Tools in the dealer’s browser. The extension does not continuously scan dealer websites for inventory and does not continuously monitor the dealer’s browsing activity.
3. How information is used
GCR Dealer Tools uses the selected vehicle information only to:
temporarily prepare the selected listing in the browser;
open the Facebook Marketplace vehicle-listing form;
fill supported Facebook Marketplace fields; and
retrieve and attach the selected vehicle’s photos.
GCR Dealer Tools intentionally does not perform the final Facebook Publish/Post action. The dealer must review the Facebook Marketplace draft and decide whether to publish it.
4. Temporary storage and retention
The selected Marketplace payload is stored temporarily in Chrome’s session storage so that the newly opened Facebook Marketplace page can retrieve it. The payload expires after no more than 10 minutes and is designed to be consumed once when the Marketplace page opens.
The extension does not store Marketplace payloads in Chrome Sync or in persistent extension storage during the normal workflow.
Vehicle image bytes are held only as needed to attach the photos to the Facebook draft and are not retained by the extension as an inventory archive.
5. Photo-host access
Vehicle photos may be hosted by the dealership, an inventory provider, or a content-delivery network. When the extension needs access to a new photo host, Chrome may ask the dealer to approve access to that specific HTTPS origin.
GCR Dealer Tools requests only the origin needed for the selected vehicle. Image-fetch requests use HTTPS and omit browser credentials.
6. Sharing and third-party processing
GCR Dealer Tools does not sell vehicle data or other user data, does not provide it to data brokers, and does not use it for personalized advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, or unrelated marketing.
The extension transfers the dealer-selected listing data and vehicle photos to Facebook only as necessary to prepare the Facebook Marketplace draft requested by the dealer. Facebook or Meta may receive and process information inserted into the Facebook page, including uploaded photos, before the dealer presses the final Publish button. Meta’s own terms and privacy policies govern Meta’s processing of information on Facebook.
Photo requests are also sent directly to the HTTPS server or CDN that hosts the applicable vehicle image.
The extension does not transmit the Marketplace payload to a Golf Cart Resource server as part of the browser-extension handoff workflow.
7. Browsing activity and Facebook account information
GCR Dealer Tools runs its Facebook content script only on Facebook Marketplace listing-creation pages required for the user-facing feature. It uses the page structure only to locate and populate Marketplace form controls.
The extension does not collect or use the dealer’s general browsing history, Facebook password, authentication cookies, private messages, friends list, or unrelated Facebook content.
8. Human access to extension data
GCR personnel do not receive or read the dealer’s Marketplace payload through the extension during normal operation. Any support investigation involving specific user data would require the dealer’s explicit decision to provide that information, except where access is required for security or legal compliance.
9. User controls
A dealer can choose not to use the Marketplace feature, deny a requested photo-host permission, clear a prepared payload from the extension popup before it is consumed, revoke extension site permissions through Chrome, or uninstall GCR Dealer Tools at any time.
10. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
GCR Dealer Tools’ use of information received through Chrome extension permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve the extension’s disclosed user-facing purpose and is not used or transferred for personalized advertising, data-broker activity, credit-worthiness, or unrelated purposes.
11. Security
GCR Dealer Tools uses Manifest V3, packages its executable code with the extension, uses HTTPS for remote vehicle-image requests, does not execute remotely hosted code, and limits permissions to those needed for its disclosed Marketplace workflow.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if GCR Dealer Tools changes or if legal or platform requirements change. The effective or last-updated date should be revised whenever material changes are made. If the extension’s data-handling practices materially change, users will be provided the disclosures required by applicable Chrome Web Store policies.
